im currently about to be going into the labs in my classes and i am being told i need the RealVNC - is there any free verisions?

Look for "VNC" in the Synaptic package manager. Remmina, for instance, has a VNC plugin. If I were you, I would probably test that solution first.

In fact, I think Vinagre (GNOME's VNC client) is installed by default. It can be found under the Internet menu, "Remote Desktop Viewer".

It would make no sense for you to have to use a particular VNC client. All of them use the same protocol.

i just install Mate on my machine and it got it built in :)- linuxacadmy reconmends TheRealVnc client but i dont have 60 bucks for a lincse
