1.| Check your router with http:///rom-0
2.| If it downloads binary ROM file, GNU/Linux is rendered ineffective
3.| Go buy yourself a device with OpenWRT, DD-WRT support ASAP!
Footnote: I might try flashing alt. firmware until FSF certified RYF device under LibreCMC umbrella (possibly with LibreBoot & LibreSSL) enters the market. My sole hope aside all of this is Project Turris.
*** URL got screwed >> put your router's IP address in between the slashes, right after http://
What do you mean by "GNU/Linux is rendered ineffective"?
That it's near-to identical with having Win0-day$ as a main OS, behind firewalled router. Yay. =S On the other hand.. why bother right?!
It might be more helpful if you could provide specific technical details, rather than spouting off stuff.
Also, LibreBoot targets X86 systems primarily so don't count on it showing up in these routers, which are usually ARM or MIPS. These embedded systems usually use Das U-Boot instead: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Das_U-Boot
Thanks for pointing out the rational info. I freaked out there and became paranoid for a day or two. Topic can be deleted or locked.
