Weather panel applet?

When I choose 'add to panel' from the context menus, I can no longer choose the weather report applet I had in Trisquel 6.0 and still see in Ubuntu Mate. What are people using, instead, for weather forecasts and updates?

There is a package "gnome-shell-extension-weather" in Trisquel 7's repository. That is not an answer to your question though (unless you are keen to try GNOME Shell).

If you use the desktop based on gnome fallback, there is a package "gnome-weather" (Trisquel 7 repository) access current weather conditions and forecast.
You could place it on the desktop. See: http://i.imgur.com/FE0DMbH.png
