I can't seem to find the release notes on the site. What kernel versions are the Trisquel editions using?

i'm not sure if this answers your question, but when i installed Trisquel 5.5 it came with vmlinuz-3.0.0-17-generic in the /boot directory which is by now automatically updated to vmlinuz-3.0.0-24-generic

I'm running the Trisquel 6.0 Beta, dated 12-November. It's using
3.2.0-31-generic

According to
uname -a

so is Trisquel using Debian Testing rather than Stable? The Debian Squeeze I have is running 2.6.32-5-686. There's not a huge difference but I found it interesting that I seemed to have less issues with Trisquel than with Debian - Debian doesn't identify my monitor and ABrowser seems more up to date.

Trisquel is derived from Ubuntu, which is a bit like Debian Testing.
We're using the Linux Libre kernel, not the Ubuntu or Debian, however.
Abrowser is more up-to-date than iceweasel (in Wheezy, anyway).
