Why isn't the Tomboy package available?

Dunno why it's not available but you might want to try the gnote package, it's a c++ port of tomboy.

Weird, I do have tomboy in the repos... have you tried by updating them? or trough synaptic?

Does it have to do with Tomboy requiring Mono as a dependency? I know that RMS called Miguel de Icaza a traitor to the Free Software community for being pro-Microsoft and changing his focus to C# and Mono development. Oh and switching full time to Mac OSX from GNU/Linux even though he was one of the creators of GNOME.
