Description

After disabling Icons on Desktop in gnome-tweak-tool, the background is no longer shown, replaced by a grey color.

This is probably due to: https://code.launchpad.net/~darkxst/ubuntu/saucy/gnome-settings-daemon/lp1219148/+merge/183306

Dude,

Trisquel 7.0 is based on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty and not on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy. I have not found the bug you mentioned in my T7 machine, either in Gnome 3 or Gnome Classic.

Can you explain a bit more on this issue?

The patch is part of the package on Trisquel 7 and reverting it makes the issue disappear.
Please follow the steps I provided to reproduce.

It may conflict with running nautilus to handle desktop and/or gnome-shell, so perhaps the patch shouldn't be reverted on the repos.
