GCC Ubuntu Branding Problem?

Description

gcc --version tells me: gcc (Ubuntu 5.4.0-6ubuntu1~16.04.10) 5.4.0 20160609

That isn't necessarily a problem but the compiler info shows up in the kernel configs I maintain. For example:

https://jxself.org/git/?p=kernel-configs.git;a=blob;f=4.19/x86-64;h=8eb00643598e87e9b1a6a5594b14dba7ba295555;hb=HEAD

This caused someone to ask me on #linux-libre on freenode why I was using Ubuntu. I'm not - I use Trisquel on all my machines. But maybe this is a branding problem and Trisquel's GCC shouldn't mention Ubuntu?

Trisquel 8.0 support ended in April 2021.
Please open a new issue in case it remains on the current supported release.

Cheers!
