Removing assigned to "upstream" bug will be marked as "wontfix".

They altered the documentation to clarify Debian's position it's contrib and non-free repositories but the issue has not been fixed. The documentation still says they are ok with the use of non-free software and instructs users on how to install non-free repos.

My personal opinion on the matter is that we should remove this package. With the new changes it would take quite a bit of effort to go through and remove the sections which talk about non-free software and we have our own documentation.

I started to work on a patch on that, but then i was thinking after i made some more changes "does this make sense?"... i mean maybe it makes more sense to remove the complete package since trisquel is not debian and this package seems not to be essential important. If we would make a patch, then it would mean somebody needs to maintain the patch for next releases, so what do you think?

i attached the current (incomplete) patch so you can get an impression.

The principle problem with debian-reference is it references the use of guaranteed non-GNU FSDG repos. There are only about 50 such mentions in a big book of technical goodness. I'll redo the work for 7.0 -en. Those who write -de -fr -it -ja or -pt will be needed for the other translations of it.

Fixes for outstanding defects known thus far are now a Merge Request for Toutatis and Belenos

I will email FSF compliance about dealing with the Debian won't fix for non-free repo references and find out about Debian in general for FSDG bugs to progress the fixes I've identified with them later.
