The bottom of the screen is missing text from applications. The area that doesn't show program text is about as tall as the panel tool box. Attached image show Emacs that should have text all the way down to the red line.
didn't notice the List checkbox for the attachment, thought the attachment just wasn't showing up in preview
There have also been plenty of screen glitches of all sizes like the small one in this attachment.
This also happens in Debian (except for screen glitches). The lucid version of Emacs might help.
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Trisquel better. Please answer these questions:
This will help us to find and resolve the problem.
Also if this happens in Debian have you checked for an upstream Debian bug report or KDE bug report? If so please provide us with a link.
This just happened again after I installed Mini Toutatis, but it is not happening in Debian. My video card is the legacy nVidia GeForce FX 5200, and my computer is the Vaio VGC-RA710G. I am not sure how to reproduce, and I wonder if it is only my hardware although Parabola GNU/Linux-libre worked well on it.
Since you're on Mini, I'm wondering if you have the "triskel" metapackage installed -- perhaps your system is lacking some "essential" package which eventually depends on it...
I have been using Trisquel GNOME, KDE and LXDE for a few days without this issue anymore.
