Swfdec and vlc plugin

Hello to you all,

We can not properly play a video on youtube.
The solution is to update swfdec in adding this repository:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/swfdec-team/ubuntu jaunty main

And disable the vlc plugin for your version of firefox.
Now, videos are easy to read.

You do beautiful work for this version 3, congratulations.

It works fine for me. Are you using a netbook or an old computer? Swfdec -same goes for gnash- is not very optimized, so it might work better if you have 2d acceleration and compiz disabled.

But I'm guessing the newer version from the ppa works better anyway, so we will update it. Thanks for the link! I'm not closing this, until the update is done.

Trisquel doesn't have vlc or vlc-mozilla, though.

Go to tools, add-ons, plugins and you will see the module vlc.
This is in trisquel alas.

That entry refers to the totem plugin (although I don't know why it says VNC on it). VLC is not included in our repositories, we used to have the source code for it, but we removed it due to a license issue:

That one has nothing to do with flash anyway.
