[GFSD Issue] Handbrake uses non-free FAAC for AAC encoding
AAC encoding in Handbrake uses the non-free FAAC. AAC encoding should either be removed entirely from Handbrake or be supported via free encoders such as FF-AAC.
Actually I am going to mark this as fixed. The only version of handbrake in the repos is for dagda which has reached end of life. After that in 6.5 we should have the version from Ubuntu quantal which has been fixed upstream so this isn't a problem currently.
"Feature is now implemented. The encoder is "usable" but still has some ways to go.
Improvements are now part of libav updates, so this ticket is now closed.
As a New Year gift, I backported the latest Handbrake 0.9.9 from Trusty to Toutatis. Enjoy!

This package does not exist in precise, only in quantal.
Do we want to have a backport in toutatis or wait till 6.5?
Debian has packaged Handbrake and removed the FAAC dependency with patch 0010
Assigned to upstream:
Handbrake bug#127 (Drop FAAC in favor of FF-AAC.)
