Aoostar NAS or ThinkPenguin NAS

Hey, I'm looking at a new NAS and I've been looking at the Aoostar WTR PRO as well as the 4-bay NAS from ThinkPenguin.
Does anyone have experiences/thoughts with either of these?
I'm currently using an awful qnap NAS and I'd prefer to have a NAS that I can load Trisquel server onto and setup RAID using mdam.
