newly installed applications not always displayed in Trisquel menu

I installed backintime-gnome and gnome-schedule.
None of them was displayed in Trisquel menu after install.
I had to run alacarte and check them in that dialog to achieve this.
I think the normal behaviour should be to make them automatically display in menu after install.
