Now, as Trisquel is moving its focus towards an LTS only release. With the load of bandwidth and space decreasing from the mirrors which the STS releases and its packages would occupy. I think it would be a fair idea to release a seperate installation DVD set containing the entire binaries of the official repositories. The user might run "#apt-cdrom add" post installation and install any software that might be needed to configure a server / desktop without the need of any internet connection. This might be helpful for some people with slow internet connection. Who can ask their friends to download the entire DVD set for them so they can enjoy Trisquel. What I am asking is a "Debian DVD Set" substitute for Trisquel. I hope everyone gives this a consideration.

I've written this manual some time ago, for if it is useful: https://trisquel.info/gl/wiki/crear-un-repositorio-local-de-dvds-cos-repositorios-de-trisquel

While waiting for this to happen one could as a workaround use the aptoncd package in Trisquel repos.

This tool will allow you to create a media (CD or DVD) to use to install software via APT in a non-connected machine, as well upgrade and install the same set of softwares in several machines with no need to re-download the packages again. Homepage: http://aptoncd.sourceforge.net

Kubuntu's 12.04 LiveDVD has a "/pool/" directory with 2.7 GiB of packages. I don't know which are their inclusion criteria.
