Looking at the Lifereas preferences, at the "Settings" tab, the RSS reader allows you to select the non-free Opera browser as a choice to open external links from RSS articles.
Also, I suggest changing the "Firefox" string to "Abrowser" .
In Parabola Liferea suggests Iceweasel (Parabola contains a version of Iceweasel which doesn't recommend non-free software), Icecat, Epiphany and Konquerer so Trisquel can use whatever script is used there to remove references to Opera.
Thanks :) : I think it may be trivial to change the strings on the Debian source package, but I don't know how to create an specific patch to rebuild it properly with Debian tools. I mean, debhelper, lintian and such.
