Hello guys. I hope everybody is ok.
I have a project to make -a solar & wind turbine, with batteries, charge-controller and all the rest- and in some part of that project i will need to use a 3D printer and model some parts for the eolic turbine. I wan to to do something mine, original, so I will have to model it at my tasting using some modelling software.
As I am compromise with gnu/linux I would like to use something that is free, that respect my freedom. So: what 3d modeling software for linux do you advise?
I know that exist blender, and is open-source, but what are your opinion on it? Is it really free? And :there are other best alternatives?
p.s. english is not my first language, so excuse some expressions.
ps2: this project was borne from my own will, it is not a school project that some other sent on me. I do it because I want (and need!).
Thanks in advance to all the community.
Hugs
I have no ideas on the subject for it is something (3d modeling) I never even attempted to do.
>Is it really free?
It is very trivial to know if given software is free software or proprietary malware (^^) -> you need to check the license.
If it is a free license then it is free software.

I believe you wanted to say "As I am thrilled with gnu/linux" :)
Btw, your English is perfectly understandable.
Many many thanks for the answer. I do not knew that were various GNU licenses. That is very useful information for me! I will look at it with time, i want to know more on that.
Many many thanks again.
Grateful
Hello Takumi
I think that Freecad can be your answer. It's a professional CAD with 3D shape and models . Is not easy to learn at beginning but when you will be able to use it is soooo powerful
You can find it in the Trisquel official repository
I hope I was helpful
Sorry my bad english too ^__^ I'm pizzaliano
Cheers
Freecad is interesting i believe is just what I want, after all, all I want to do is modeling not artistic touches.
Mille Grazie
p.s. I'll take this answer as satisfactory, for the question I made, but acept more opinions and suggestions.
Thanks to Kernel panic, thanks to all the community of Trisquel
Good for all!
You are welcome my friend :)
