I have just bought this computer at Mercari. ¥2,500 including shipping cost. I would be able to get the computer within few days.
Would you teach me what UDOO neo has not good points from the view point of computer freedom?
What would be the difference of degree of freedom between e.g. eoma68 cards or the most free machines and this board?
And from the website of FSF:
"The i.MX6 uses the free boot firmware U-Boot and does not enforce signature checks."
"The only major component which is not usable with a free software stack is the VPU for accelerated video decoding, which requires nonfree firmware uploaded to it at run-time. This task can be done in free software on the CPU instead." (What would be that in free software on the CPU??)
And from a page of Github:
"To build the U-Boot for UDOO Neo, use the 2015.04.imx branch. This branch is based on Freescale's U-Boot (uboot-imx) version 2015.04.
The build can be started with: ..."
Is not UDOO neo U-Boot from the beggining?
I would appreciate it if you could inform something good information about the board.
Allow me to this oppotunity to say xie xie for all the posts...

According to the documentation, UDOO has no internal storage or built-in boot code, so you have to create a bootable micro SD card for your first use: https://www.udoo.org/docs/Getting_Started/Very_First_Start.html
Thank you! I understood a bit more what boot is and, how should I say, that structure of this kind of computer (no internal storage). Maybe I could and should have studied myself so I'm sorry but it short-circuited very much my understanding :) It would have taken quite much time even to figure it has no that internal storage and to guess what the stroge does. And the answer will continue to help my understanding efficienty. Thanks.

No no. In this case, な、なにいってやがんでえ!てやんでえ、べらんめえ、礼なんざいらねえよ! 水くせえ!
is proper.
An excellent language lesson from the master. ありがとうございます.
You are welcome.
Do you have any relationship to the Japanese designer Masaru Suzuki? Like from this page: http://masarusuzuki.com/
Edit: The designer's name is Suzuki, not Suzuqi - my mistake.
UDOO Neo looks like a great board by the way.

No. But he and my great grand father look alike, mmaybe.

I did it! I couldn't afford to buy more expensive computers. I had no other choice. Could you tell me why did it look like so?
