Thanks a lot for all the hard work omarroth. Great website and great service, much appreciated. I understand the proxy function better now after your answers, but as you've said before, I think it's better not to use it often so as not to burden your server.
@omarroth
Hi, firstly, what is that in your picture? It looks like a variety of cetaceans. Is that chained one?
As always sorry for off topic but this question is very important for me. Thanks.
I mean, some of them can communicate with echolocation as it is well-knowned.
It seems they use it as sonar and for communication. But it also seems they can use it for other purposes.
I don't think only some of them who I have seen can do it. You may not know, my strange ability would be concerned with their abilities. I think the water world is similar to the internet for them. Of course, it would not be your business, though. I merely thought this might be the third joint. As a little present for the information, like they gave me it.
Edit: In this case, maybe I should've written Abilities super directly.
Regarding my earlier comment about a possible bug in Invidious, I wish to clarify that it was NOT a bug. It was an error on my part during testing, I had different instances opened and made a mistake checking the connections being made. I apologize to omarroth for my error, as I have already done personally in an email sent to him.
Invidious is right now the best way to watch youtube videos and a great project that deserves all our support.
I am using Invidious after reading this great thread. I was using Hooktube and then they got a cease and desist letter from YouTube, so apparently they were spooked and switched to using normal YT embeds. Is this an inevitable fate for Invidious too?

Unlike Hooktube, Invidious does not use YouTube's API, so I think it
should be at less risk of legal threats from Google.

I am glad that this thread helped other people.
I will suggest that for privacy, other than using Tor, you might use the various Invidious instances that exist. That way you are not in risk of one single instance logging your info and selling it.
Apart from that, I don't think that Invidious will suffer the same fate as Hooktube. The reason is that you can actually simply run the software in your own machine, and they can't stop that. The existing public instances might go down but not the software itself. Youtube might try to prevent the Invidious software from accessing their information (videos, comments, views, etc), but I don't see that as being feasible. Truth is youtube will eventually have to do something because if Invidious becomes standard... Youtube will suffer loss of money in ad revenue.
