Can't get 24-hour time in panel

I just installed Trisquel 7, and the time in the panel shows AM/PM with no date. I can't find any way to fix this. AM/PM time is worse than useless because it's too easy to get the times mixed up. Please help!
Got a similar problem, but mine is that I want to change the settings on "Language Support" because when I use "English" it sets me on AM/PM format and It doesn't let me to edit it.
Because I am using GNOME Shell, the following may not work:
- In the "Top bar" section of the "Tweak tool" (in "System settings"), you can choose whether the date is displayed;
- In "Date & time" (in "System settings"), a radio button allows to choose between "24 hours" or "AM/PM";
- In the second tab of "Language support" (in "System settings"), you can choose to display the date in the usual format for "français (France)" (for instance).
Top bar: Both boxes are checked, and have no effect.
Date & time: The radio button only effects that window, not the panel.
Language support: There's only one option: English. And unless there's some "language" that would set the number/date/currency format to sensible defaults instead of tying it down to a language, I don't see how this setting would be useful.
I use "français (France) in the second tab of "Language support" and the time is "24 hours" on my system. I do not know if it is really this setting that has an influence though.
The date you are seeing on the panel is from the indicator plugin
Add the date or clock applet separately.
Thank you! The Clock applet seems to be what I remember from Trisquel 6. By any chance, is there a way to get rid of the other clock without losing all of Indicator Applet?
If you are using Trisquel mini or LXpanel then simply right click on the clock then click "digital clock settings".
for 24 our format with date in International/Military format, should be:
Clock Format: %R
Tooltip Format: %a, %d%b%Y
This will give you a 24 hour time format with the date listed as: DayMonthYear(day of the week), example Wed, 19Nov2014.
Hope that helps!
I'm able to bring back the Date into indicator-datetime Trisquel 7.0 using dconf-editor.
Set your own preference at com >> canonical >> indicator >> datetime.
Command line:
============
gsettings set com.canonical.indicator.datetime time-format "'custom'"
gsettings set com.canonical.indicator.datetime custom-time-format "'%A, %d %B %Y, %I:%M:%S'"
