GNU Ring on Trisquel

Dear Trisquel users,
GNU Ring [1] launched. It's possible to download and install for Debian 9 [2], but not for Trisquel 7. Any comments, please.

It has been around for a while, I even managed to install it on Trisquel when it still supported Ubuntu 14.04. Unfortunately they removed that.
I don't know if this was already answered (I lost some emails) but it's
possible to install GNU Ring in Trisquel using the GNU Guix package
manager.
1. Install the GNU Guix package manager in your Trisquel. Pay attention
to the names ("Guix" is different from "GuixSD"), because you do not
install GuixSD, unless you do want to.
2. Install the recipes from:

using:
GUIX_PACKAGE_PATH="[Path to ring.scm, without these brackets.]" guix package -i ring-client-gnome

Two package manager. Since someone add PPA repositories to any distro with APT is building a dirty distro then, imagine this.

Not really. Guix is self-contained and does not affect the rest of the system.
You should think on install packages with two packages manager, dependences are different in many cases and can take file problems. The problem is not Guix on self, the problem is install packages on differents packages managers and different repositories.
By this i compare this case with an APT distro with PPAs. Problems with files and/or dependences.

The command tried but failed, even with --fallback. Logs attached.

Strangely enough... GitHub started changing hashes for the .zip/.tar.gz
files it provides.

As a regular home user, I'm not suitable to run beta software like Guix.
I did find KDE client for RING at https://github.com/KDE/ring-kde
Where is a more lightweight Qt frontend for Ring, with much less bundles with KDE?
Can we make grups for chatting in this app ?
Currently I didn't test this yet. I would like to do so now, but I'm in
the process of updating the related recipe for GNU Guix, which will also
allow other people to install it. ;)
So right now I'm unable to use it right.
