There was a live broadcast by Nyrees Titchener of the Birmingham & Sandwell Permaculture Group;
https://www.facebook.com/groups/SABPermaculture/

on Dark City Radio tonight.
http://www.darkcityradio.com/live.html (<- this page has the problem)

Her guest was Bridget Strawbridge who is actively involved in educating people about bee eco-systems.

Unfortunately, after pressing "Click To Play", I was not connected to the live broadcast. YouTube videos are not an issue. I know that it works on OSX and M$; but I would like to say Libre.

Is there something I can do to correct this issue?

Also, if you interested in Permaculture: a way of repairing and living synergistcally with natural eco-systems; check out the Permaculture Group page (there's a drop box link to Bill Mollison's Permaculture Design Book).

"Although initially we can see how helping our family and friends
assists us in our own survival, we evolve the mature ethic that sees
all humankind as family, and all life as allied associations. Thus,
we expand people care to species care, for all life has common origins.
All are "Our Family"

The Flash player open one conection to Shoutcast server. I saw the HTML code of the website.

This webradio uses the "Caster.Fm Stream Player 1.1.0".
You can open the Movie Player or Rhythmbox / Exaile or with Abrowser and paste this URL:
http://184.173.181.32:41714/listen.mp3?authn75891f1a04168711b2482cb677670833

Unfortunately Gnash never worked with streaming here. I need to find one URL in the code Javascript or HTML for listen or see. The better way is use Icecast with webm ang ogg streaming.

Many thanks for taking the time to respond.

I have emailed Dark City Radio with the suggestion of using Icecast with webm and ogg streaming.

I shall keep you informed of any progress.

You can listen with VLC and many others options :-)

If the radio needs one Icecast solution without cost can be the Radionomy. VLC have one good directory with many stations from there. Playlist (Ctrl+L > Internet > Icecast Radio Directory)
