Hi, I bought a wn-1043nd v1.8 router and installed libreCMC , but I am trying to backup by rsync (trisquel backintime program) but it is giving error.
I already added my user to the fusen group, created a private ssh key and copied the public key to the router to access without password. The error message is The remote host 192.168.10.1 does not support 'rsync', check the manual, and besides the steps I already did, there are these lines:
The error message is "The remote host 192.168.10.1 does not support rsync". check the manual, and besides the steps that I have already done, there are these lines:
For example some devices may not have
hardlink support for 'cp', 'chmod' and 'rsync'. In this case it may
help to install so-called Optware or Entware on your device if
available.
But I can't find these Optware or Entware packages in libreCMC.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
I would ask the libreCMC people: https://lists.librecmc.org/mailman/listinfo.
EDIT: I was curious about libre software and firmware for routers, so I visited these pages:
https://github.com/Entware/Entware/wiki/Alternative-install-vs-standard
https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Installing_Entware
Accordingly, you might be able to install Entware along libreCMC, but I would still ask the libreCMC people first about any known incompatibility.
I installed the openssh-sftp-server package maybe it is an alternative way of backup. I just need to know how to do it in a rsync-like way.
I am not sure what you are trying to do exactly, but Entware does indeed provide both rsync and openssh-sftp-server, so I would first try to install it on libreCMC.
