I'm on a fresh install of Trisquel. I was wondering if there would be any way to make it so that Icecats private window runs everything through Tor. It used to be able to, but I have not been on Trisquel for a little while and on this fresh install it does not have that feature.

Oh , why there's no body replying this question?

For this question you may ask those general forum. Or just ask Google.

Firstly you should have Tor successfully run on your system :)

Then install and use tsocks.

Tsocks will not route UDP. This means that the browser will be directly querying DNS for the IP address of the domain of the page you're trying to visit. Also if WebRTC is enabled, websites will be able to unmask you.

It's safer and easier to download the Tor browser (and checking the GPG or shasum or whatever their site recommends before installing).

The only easy, safe way I'm aware of to route everything through Tor is Tails. Otherwise, you have to set everything up to properly run through Tor yourself. I do wish someone would maintain a version of Tails without the firmware blobs so we could readily recommend it.

Thanks for the replies.
Is there any reason given as to why the feature was removed in the first place?

Search the form history. People were actually complaining about this feature, saying it was a bad idea, etc.
