Intel CEO Refuses To Answer Questions On Whether NSA Can Access Processors

(One most interesting paragraph, from the text, relating to Free Software:)
"In December, developers of the FreeBSD operating system noted that they could no longer trust[*] Intel and Via’s chip-based cryptographic security, saying that there was a very high possibility that the NSA had backdoor access."
By not answering, he did answer, assuming these reports are true. Now rogue states and criminal crackers know there's something worth looking for. Great.
Not answering is not a proof of anything.
Why would he risk losing sales to foreign countries when he could have denied it was true?
What risk? Do you know facebook? What's up? If you tell people they're spying onto them they do not care. There's no risk to lose any profit from people because they are stupid and our disgrace.
And, when speaking of "rogue states and criminal crackers", you can put the US and EU (a.k.a. Western) governments, and their agencies, on top of the list.
I'm more concerned about malware and attacks on infrastructure etc.
Omg could this mean that somebody is spying on us?? And that we can't trust intel??
