Issue with Network Management

Hello Folks!

I followed this (https://libreboot.org/docs/gnulinux/encrypted_trisquel.html) instructions to install Trisquel 9.0 on my RYF X200-T.

During the step where I have to choose a desktop environment, I accidentally did not select any of the option. So I ended up with base installation.

After booting into the base installation, the internet connection was active (as I tested via `ping -c 3 gnu.org`). So I installed default Trisquel DE by doing `sudo apt install trisquel`.

Now, when I login to the system, the network-manager and/or it's applet does not work, as in the attached screenshot. But sometimes the internet connection is active (tested via browser), despite the mentioned issue.

Also, one time when I rebooted the system, the network-manager and/or it's applet was working perfectly. After that it stopped working again.

Currently, I keep doing `sudo systemctl restart network-manager` or `sudo systemctl restart networking`, every few minutes, to keep the internet connection working. Although this does not make the applet working during this interval.

Any solution please?

Thank you!

Regards,
RG.

UPDATE 1:

For WiFi, the network-manager and/or it's applet works half of the time (Yes.png) and doesn't work other half of the time (No.png). During the latter, despite the issue, the network connection is established on one of the save WiFi access-points and stays connected. I just could not add or change WiFi access-points.

For mobile-broadband, the applet always shows that it is not enabled, despite "Enable Mobile Broadband" menu-option is ON.

UPDATE 2:

So I re-installed Trisquel 9.0 and chose Trisquel DE while installation. Things work fine now. Nevertheless, I think it is good to investigate why the issue arises when base-installation done first and then the package 'trisquel-desktop' is installed.
