trisquel 8 64bit
During installation I selected something else and
made a partition. When selecting install I
got this message:
you have not selected any partitions for use as swap space. How do you
create a swap partition? Thanks.

Swap is not required, but highly recommended. You make a swap partition during the partitioning step in the same way that you make any other partition.

Swap is a type of a file system. Tell the installer you want to set up a partition of file system type Swap, and the installer will do the rest.

I created the swap partition
and trisquel got installed.
