no camcorder recording in free format?

You cannot get a camcorder that records in
a free format like ogg?
Never heard of one. Most likely not, especially because as far as I know, there is no hardware encoding/decoding to ogg.
An alternative would be to build some DIY with a raspberrypi-like machine (maybe a AllWinner or something) and use it with a GNU/Linux OS and an app that would act as a camcorder. Never looked into that.

I've got an old camcorder that records on videotape. Record on one of those and then pull the video into Blender and convert it to ogg.
