Greetings ladies and gentlemen:

I've installed gnome shell and I realized that I don't have "notify-osd" informing me.

Do you know how to reenable it?

Thank you.

Notifications appear at the bottom of the screen.

It does for me, anyway.

No, what I mean is that I don't have the notify-osd on gnome-flashback like before. I've uninstalled the notification-daemon just in case but it didn't bring notify-osds bubbles back.

Any ideas?

Update: After uninstalling the "notification-daemon" now the "bubble" from notify-osd appears when it feels to, but it doesn't show up everytime I use the scroll to change volume: it seems random.

If no one have an idea of what could be ocurring I will post the issue as a bug.

Ok, I spotted the problem: I deactivated compton to use metacity's compositor and it seems that it was causing the Issue, in other words: metacity compositor hates notify-osd.

Thank you.
