If you have any scanned PDF's and you want to make them searchable I highly recommend ocrmypdf: https://github.com/jbarlow83/OCRmyPDF
Just run:
$ ocrmypdf input.pdf output.pdf
and it will run Tesseract OCR and create a text layer so you can search/copy stuff.
