Hi. Has anyone had any luck installing RabbitVCS on Trisquel 6.0? I pulled it down from the repo using apt-get install, but it isn't showing in the Nautillus pop up menu? Any ideas?

Did you also install rabbitvcs-nautilus - Nautilus extension for RabbitVCS?

Yeah, I followed the directions on the RabbitVcs site: http://wiki.rabbitvcs.org/wiki/install/ubuntu. The only thing I did not do was link the launchpad PPA since I figured pulling from the trisquel repo would be safer.

Ah, looks like the nautilus plugin in the repos is for nautilus 2 (from gnome 2), which is not included in Tris 6 (which uses gnome 3)... :)

Soo, you need to get rabbitvcs-nautilus3. You might get it from http://ppa.launchpad.net/rabbitvcs/ppa/ubuntu/pool/main/r/rabbitvcs/rabbitvcs_0.15.3.orig.tar.bz2 and try to combine with the version in Trisquel repos or then just go ahead and build the whole thing from that.

As for the safety, Trisquel doesn't vet the Ubuntu packages except for freedom issues, so it's probably relatively equally safe/unsafe. No warranty, if you break it, you get to keep both pieces, etc.

Ok. I will see how building it goes. Thanks for the help.

Yeah seems like it works now once I added the launch pad repo using: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rabbitvcs/ppa as per the RabbitVcs ubuntu installation instructions. I had originally skipped that part as I was affraid of breaking something. Thank you for the help all is good now.
