Slow menu bar loading

Hi,

When Trisquel has booted and I click the menu icon on the bottom left (with the trisquel logo) for the first time, it takes about 5 seconds to load the menu. It hasn't always done that. (How) can I help this?

Awen. I don't remember having this problem in Dwyn. Sorry for the slow reply.

In the Trisquel 4.0 beta, the menu doesn't act this way.

One more thing to look forward to in Taranis. ;)

Something is off though, because when I was in grub just now selecting linux, it said Dwyn was installed. I checked with "cat /etc/*release*" in the terminal and it said Awen. Any idea how that would happen?

You can open your Grub file and change the text. It's likely a holdover from when you had Dwyn installed and upgraded to Awen.

In Grub 2, these kinds of errors don't happen so much.
