There should be more Trisquel subforums.

Sometimes I feel that this forum is too cluttered. If possible, I would like the admin (or whoever is in charge around here) to create more subforums. If there are more subforums, people will know where to look for topics that they're interested in. People who have problems will know where to look for help.
Examples of Trisquel subforums
1. Hardware problems
2. Software problems
3. Switching from Windows to Trisquel
4. Switching from Mac to Trisquel
5. Discussions about free software and free culture
6. Privacy and security
7. Gaming
8. Networking and Internet problems
linuxquestions.org is a pretty big GNU/Linux forum. Maybe someone should create a subforum for Trisquel over there too.

+1. But more connected lists will have to be created for this to work as
well. At the moment a lot of users are using the list (such as myself),
not the forum.
Andrew.
I like everything in one forum. I like the variety (clutter); a gaming topic here, a hardware topic there.
Could we compromise: maybe we can optionally tag topics, and have a drop-down menu to filter the forum by topic.
+1. Many topics cover much broader area than just the one they would've been originally posted into. And it sometimes makes a pain to decide where to post a new topic. I like this way, when it's divided only by language.
Let's leave the forum as it is; it's not like we have millions of active
posters; LOL. For my routine reading and posting, I like the mailing
list; for browsing and searching, I use the web ui.
Tags will be very useful. One topic can have several tags. Searching the forum will be easier if there are tags.
I agree.
The present topics window in the front page could be kept, anyway - showing all the new topics that are created, and the old ones in which people have posted new comments - and subforums could be created - in order for anyone to (much) more easily find the specific type of topic s/he is looking for.
I have suggested this myself, in here, some time ago - https://trisquel.info/en/forum/chrome-os#comment-33954 - but don't want to talk too much about it... Since, I don't have the time to help with that now, and am not a fan of suggesting what *other* people should do...
Anyway... For anyone to consider, I leave here, again, my opinion.
Also... I guess that the mailing-list, that some people in here use, could be easily adapted - in order to include tags, corresponding to the subforums that people had subscribed to.
