I would like to have an amnesic (i.e. no memory) Trisquel live usb with Tor browser installed on it, but is that even possible?

Everything is possible provided you know how to achieve it. But may I ask why would you do so when there is already the excellent Tails? Or, if you (and rightfully so) disdain the non-free blobs of it, Heads? Tails is developed by an excellent team and constantly updated, they take care of all the issues and make sure EVERYTHING is routed via tor.

What you're describing sounds more like what heads is intented for.
