Trisquel won't boot on Dell Dimension 8300

I'm attempting to boot Trisquel 7 from USB to my old desktop Dell Dimension 8300. Pentium(R) 4, 2.80GHz, 256 MB RAM.
The USB boot works on both my work and personal laptops (Lenovo and Dell respectively), despite the Trisquel menu being so distorted as to not be visible. So the flash drive should be fine.
Dell's boot options are:
1. Normal
2. Primary Master Drive
3. Hard-disk drive C:
4. IDE CD-ROM Device
5. USB Flash Device
When I attempt to boot from the flash drive, I get the Trisquel boot menu. When I select 1. Try Trisquel without installing, it freezes and I have to Ctrl+Shift+Esc to force a restart.
One thing to note is that on my Lenovo, I see multiple USB boot options depending on the BIOS settings. Depending on which USB boot option I use, the Trisquel boot menu appears either distorted or visible. I'm not sure if I can recreate the freezing problem with one of the USB boot options. I'm on my work computer now. I'll see if I can recreate it an post the results.
I messed with the BIOS settings a bunch to see if I could induce a different USB boot option on the Dell desktop, but haven't been able to. I attached the BIOS settings. Please let me know if there's anything I should be changing.
I'd like to give Trisquel a shot before having to try another distribution.
Thanks for any help.

So on my Lenovo Boot Manager I have two different USB boot options:
1. USB HDD: Memorex ID Classic 003c
2. EFI USB Device (Memorex ID Classic 003c)
Option 1 shows the proper Trisquel boot menu.
Option 2 shows a distorted menu that's not readable.
When I boot from USB on the desktop, I get a readable starting menu like Option 1.

Your Bios indicates only 1024 MB DDR SDRAM which is not much RAM
are you booting Trisquel 7 Gnome ?
Try a NetInstall and choose Mini LXDE as Desktop Environment which uses less ressources
I just realized the Trisquel distro I'm using is 64-bit. That might not be compatable with the old Dell desktop.
That must be it. According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dell_Dimension#8xxx_series you have a Intel® 875P chipset: http://ark.intel.com/products/27711
Tried booting 32 bit Trisquel with Gnome, same problem. Freezes up when I attempt to run the OS from USB without installing.

64 bits processors start by Intel Core 2 Duo I think, right? So, Core Duo and all backwards (Pentium 4) are incompatible with x64, only compatible with x86 (32 bits).
You can not run x64 on x86 processor. You have enough ram for run GNU like Trisquel. But don't expect much, when you open much windows in your browser, you will fill your 1gb.
I recommend you to use Xfce4, and if your want desktop composer, use Compton.

The Mini should be ok with low requirements &
32 bit, compatible with all PCs from Pentium Pro onwards, including 64 bit ones.
& NetInstall is fast to download ;-)

Trying to up-vote your comment, but I guess I don't have privileges yet. Thanks anyway.

Does leaving your computer for a meal/sleepover/ages help? (Helped with my attempt at using OpenSUSE netinstall once).
I have not tried this.
You still trying install x64 operating system, on 32 bits processor?
No. Abandoned the Gnome route. Did a NetInstall and added Xfce4. It's kind of working now.
