Ubuntu Kernel Security Notice

A user on the #trisquel IRC channel asked about the effect of an
Ubuntu security notice on Trisquel. The notice can be found here [1].
I know Trisquel uses a free version of the kernel, so I know it's
different than Ubuntu's, and atm, it seems Trisquel's latest kernel is
the 2.6.28-17 which seems to not be on this list. However, I just
wanted to bring it up for discussion and get some more input as I'm
not a kernel guru, and really couldn't answer this question with
certainty.
Any insight or thoughts are greatly welcomed :)

A new batch of kernels is already in the oven since this morning.
We are now a little behind the upstream updates because we just finished
moving our build machine. We expect to have new updates tomorrow.

Although some of the problems listed could theoretically give you root
access, you need physical access to the machine to try most of them. And
if an attacker can do that, then you are pretty much f***ed up already.
Anyway, Ubuntu security issues affect Trisquel directly in almost all
cases. There are little exceptions when the issue affects a piece of
software modified or removed/disabled in Trisquel, like ipv6.

This is an unrelated question, but is ivp6 disabled in Trisquel because it relies on a nonfree driver?
