Use same programs in different workspaces

I can't use the same program in different workspaces. If I have Abrowser open in one workspace and switch to another worksapce and try to open Abrowser there I only get to the Abrowser in the first workspace. Is there anyway to have the same program open in two separate workspaces? I'm using Gnome Shell in Trisquel 7.

With GNOME Shell, in the overview mode, you can right click on an icon and choose to "new window". Alternatively, you can Ctrl+click on the icon.

In Gnome Shell, can you right click Abrowser --> open new window?
I'm just guessing ... I don't have Gnome Shell
