Vaults for encrypted files

Someone mentioned to me the plasma-vaults package that in Triskel provides an interface to create filesystems using cryfs or gocryptfs. This can be useful in order to store files on someone else's computer.

I could find the sirikali app that also does this, is independent of any desktop environment but is perhaps a little more complicated.

Is there any app specifically for MATE or GNOME for this? I found https://github.com/mpobaschnig/vaults but it seems not in any distro I looked at.
