VLC - sound - not synchronized

Hello,

I mentioned all this in an oldish thread which seems quite forgotten.

I like Totem a lot in Trisquel 5 because it works so well. Totem used to be rather helpless a few years ago.

Totem plugin with Linterna Magica: pure magic: here for instance, much better than horrendous Flash: http://magnatune.com/artists/albums/robinstine-daydream

Yet, I'm not sure iso files can be read directly in Totem as they are in VLC. I know you can mount iso files but that's a bore after using VLC.

Yet playing music in VLC is terrible: the sound is bad, as if listening on a badly tuned radio station, if you see what I mean.

As for watching videos or ISO files in VLC, the sound is not exactly synchronized to the image.

Has anyone the same problem?

Sorry, missed an answer on the forum. The suggestion is to speed audio or slow it. Doesn't really answer the question since you don't have to tweak settings in Maverick.

Trisquel Brigantia solves the problem. Many thanks to the team for this very nice LXDE version. VLC works fine. I use LXDE because I'm nolonger keen on Gnome even if the Trisquel dev made a very fine job.
