volume keys stop working

I have noticed that on Trisquel 6, in the hardware tab of sound settings
if I change the profile from "analog stereo duplex" to "analog stereo
output" the volume keys of mute,up and down stop working.

You could bind the keys to the following commands:

amixer set Master 1+
amixer set Master 1-
amixer set Master toggle

You can change 1 to what ever step that feels good to you.
