Before the website moves to new glorious halls, I thought I would try to gather some of the award winning wallpapers that were posted on the way:

Most of the above were harvested from public domain (CC0) picture websites. Another great place to go fishing for wallpapers is this one, although the disclaimer there says that they did not check for copyleft status. Feel free to share your own favorite wallpapers here, license permitting.
I download my favorites, thanks
I used that dark_cold_night one for a couple of years, it's burned into my memories. Very good one for using transparency in a terminal.
Sure enough, that one has magic and mystery about it.
There are a few other wallpapers that I would like to share, but I am a bit shy and the Troll Lounge is an intimidating place. So here is a miniature collection from my current wallpaper folder. Those not listed above can easily be found by doing a search with their filename, bringing lots of nice stuff in the process.
Oh yes, this is a fine addition to the list. There are also the "oil effect" and the "old man and the sea" versions. As well as a hyperdrive version.
A seasoned contrarian, I am currently using the Nabia default wallpaper. Aramo was released so early that I almost skipped Nabia, so I did not have the opportunity to enjoy it as much as it deserves. Really, it is possibly my favorite from the default background collection. It feels like I am climbing up that mountain, without the faintest idea of what is behind, just because I have to go up and beyond. There is no turning back.
