What happened to the persistence option?

In 7.0 Belenos, usb-creator-gtk was able to create Trisquel Persistent disks. 8.0 Flidas doesn't have that option. I find this a problem because I like having a persistent drive and want to use it on any computer I buy and transition to. Now I have to do a full install on my USB stick. :(
