I only use duckduckgo.com and startpage.com, how about you?

Also if you recommend a decentralized service I have a question: is it possible that the authorities trace you because of the search of somebody else, kind of what happens to those who own Tor relays?

Any instance of **searx** which server is not in the USA (or England). Why? Because it is entirely free software, it delivers great search results, the GUI is great.

Is there anything else that allows you to sort all your results by date? (Past year, Past month, Past week, Past 24 hours, etc). Like the way Google does it (when it's not broken)? That's a very useful feature when you are having to do research for a writing project at work.

Wow, haven't tried it for awhile. That interface looks cleaner to me now. Thanks.

Right now my main one is searx.me

A few weeks ago I 'overheard' SuperTramp83 recommending it to somebody and I decided to try it. Thanks SuperTramp83!

Sometimes I use DDG or ixquick/startpage

Tor suggests: https://search.disconnect.me
I've read their privacy policy which stills seems not secure, because it stores data:

Nothing in this policy contradicts the following statements:

We don’t collect any of your personal info, including your IP address, other than information you voluntarily provide.
We don’t sell your personal info to advertisers or other third parties.
We share your personal info only when legally required, or when reasonably necessary to prevent harm in an emergency situation.
We retain your personal info, excluding info you make public, for no more than 30 days after you request deletion.

I also like Startpage & Ixquick for their Proxy feature but they are propietary...

Duckduckgo.com/html seems to be the safest one... but, I've noticed Noscript has found that in the Javascript code there is something linked to Yahoo... I can't find it now, but as soon as I find it, I'll upload it here...

Also, it may be because of this: "Some of DuckDuckGo's source code is free software hosted at GitHub under the Apache 2.0 License,[9] but the core is proprietary. On 21 May 2014, DuckDuckGo launched a redesigned version that focused on smarter answers and a more refined look. The new version added often requested features such as images, local search, auto-suggest and more" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DuckDuckGo
