Why does telepathy on Trisquel 4.1-sugar Live CD telepathy segfaults as a booted CD but not when installed and run from VirtualBox

Any one have an idea why Trisquel 4.1-sugar (Ubuntu 10.04 based)
telepathy segfaults as a booted live CD but not when installed to
VirtualBox.

Both have a network connetion on Browse and IRC.
