Hi everyone,
I'm using a System76 Lemur Ultra with an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 which of course is not freedom friendly hardware. Can anyone suggest a usb wifi adapter?
Thanks in advance.

The main thing is getting an adapter with the RTL8187 chipset (Wireless G). You can get one above and 25% of the profits go to Trisquel.
You might also consider becoming a Trisquel associate member. The 2011 goal was to get 100 associate members to help fund the project. The project fell way short of that goal. Maybe you can help make 2012 the year that it happens!

Or if you can't afford that a one time donation:
Chris.
Do you have any wifi cards which will work on Trisquel 4.0 (Kernel 2.6.32-42)? We are installing Trisquel on a family member's computer but he uses wifi. If his current wifi card doesn't work I may want to buy a USB dongle from you but since it was an older kernel I wanted to ask. Thanks.
Yes- and actually 3.5 is supported too:

We generally try and maintain stock of compatible hardware for the duration of the oldest LTS release that is still supported (on the desktop).
Awesome. Thank you.
You can install 3.5 kernel from jxself on the older 10.04 (Taranis) code base? Nice.
None of the Intel wifi cards are free software friendly so this won't work.
Thanks Chris,
I'll pick one up and be sure to click through Trisquel's website when I do.
All that matter is that you go through libre.thinkpenguin.com for Trisquel to get the 25%.
