I cannot connect to my ekiga.net account, neither with Ekiga, nor with Empathy. Also tried other programs like qutecom, kphone, twinkle with same result.
Ekiga may show an established connection, but there is no sound output whatsoever from it, which is definitely not a problem of the soundserver.
I believe it's a bug, since Fedora 13 has no problems with ekiga.net accounts. Also a Ubuntu 10.04-user reported same issue on the German Ubuntuforum.
Since this problem is also found in Ubuntu 10.04, check to see if a bu report hasn't already been filed upstream (and if not, file one yourself). As we've already established, the problem no longer exists in the 4.5 beta.

Do you get any errors when you try to connect to your ekiga.net account? My other source of confusion is when you say in your first sentence you can't connect but in your second sentence you say you can connect but there is no sound output. Sorry I just need some more info on the specific problem (or even if it has been fixed in a later Trisquel version). That way I can see if maybe there are any bugs upstream and maybe if someone else is working on the issue.
