Beschreibung
Summary: Source package psutils contains non-free files that are of unclear copyright and origin.
Versions Used:
- Operating System: Trisquel 5.5
- Package: psutils (1.17-29)
Steps to reproduce:
- Download the source code for package: Here
- Unpack/untar the source code and navigate to: /psutils-1.17.orig/LICENSE
- License file states:
The included files, md68_0.ps and md71_0.ps (and their uuencoded forms) are (to the best of my knowledge) copyright Apple Computer, Inc.A gNewSense Bug also states this about the problem:
Technical, those files are used by fixmacps(1), which "fixes" PostScript generated from a Macintosh PC that it works correctly with psutils package (according to manpage). The fix would be, to remove fixmacps and the postcript files md68_0.ps and md71_0.ps from the package.References:

Assigning to upstream:
Debian GNU/Linux Bug#682708 (psutils contains files with unknown/unclear copyright)
Fixed upstream. Just have to wait for the new version to reach us.
Still present in 6.0. Fixed version is in Ubuntu 'Raring' which should correspond to Trisquel 7
