Good day to everybody. This is Ignacio Agulló, and since the year
2011 I maintain the Calendar of ICT Holidays for the members of the
Computer Engineers Association of Spain (Asociación de Técnicos de
Informática, ATI) and for the professionals of the Information and
Communication Technologies in general. The calendar is published
through Google Calendar and contains a dozen celebrations. More
information about it, here:

Unfortunately not all celebrations are like SysAdmin Day, which is
usually announced 360 days on advance. Many aren't announced until on
month before, and because of that it is required pay attention and
update the calendar.

Recently I added to the calendar a new celebration which has
already seven editions on his back but has received little attention
until now - and frankly, I'm not surprised that it gets little
attention. On one hand the idea is, let's say, a bit extravagant; and
on the other the organizers show that they don't take it very seriously
as they publish announcement for the present year with an anticipation
of seven days. I'm referring to celebrate the I Love Free Software Day
together with Saint Valentine's Day.

But still, it is a Celebration of Freedom, and with it there are
already five Celebrations of Freedom, including one that I exclude off
the Calendar of ICT Holidays because of exceeding the field of
computing. So there goes the list for the present year, though watch
off, let's remember that three of them aren't still annouced for the
present year:

February, 14: I Love Free Software Day , http://fsfe.org/campaigns/ilovefs/
Organizer: Free Software Foundation Europe, https://fsfe.org/

March, 30: Día Libertad de Documentos, http://documentfreedom.org/

Note: 2017s edition is still unannounced.

March, 21: Education Freedom Day, http://http://www.educationfreedomday.org/
Organizer: Digital Freedom Foundation,

Note: 2017s edition is still unannounced... and its website is
apparently offline after a whole year. I don't really know whether this
celebration exists..

April, 15: Hardware Freedom Day, http://www.hfday.org
Organizer: Digital Freedom Foundation,

September, 16: Software Freedom Day, http://www.softwarefreedomday.org
