has been changed from October 6, 2025 to January 12, 2026.

I do not know if the trial date will update again but hopefully Vizio will not just delete/destroy the source code to make it so even if the Software Freedom Conservancy wins the case the end users still can not get the source code without reverse engineering the binary.

At least someone found a way to get a binary from a TV as I only know how to use any TV with a remote but not how to get software off of those.

Maybe if the Software Freedom Conservancy wins the case the Linux kernel can also have blobs removed from it by letting users get the source code for that as well, or at least have the blobs removed.
