Document Freedom Day is a yearly celebration organized since the year 2008 by the Free Software Foundation Europe, http://fsfe.org/ . But in this 2017 the 10th edition is organized instead by the Digital Freedom Foundation, http://www.digitalfreedomfoundation.org/ , that also organizes Software Freedom Day and Hardware Freedom Day. The Document Freedom Day is defined as follows:
Document Freedom Day is the international day of Open Standards and happens every year on the last Wednesday of March. It is a day to come together and raise attention towards the ever growing importance of Open Standards for all aspects of our digital communication and information accessibility.
