VLC audio stops when skipping backwards or forwards

I played an mp4 file, and sound worked: that is, it could play all the way through. However, when skipping backwards or forwards the sound would disappear.

Could someone debug this? (vlc-dbg). This probably needs to be in ubuntu's issues tracker (possibly vlc's, too).

Works for me. Make sure you have vlc-plugin-pulse installed.

(to be clear, this is in Trisquel 7. 6 is not affected)
Default install of VLC, nothing changed. Fresh T7 install.
